Catch&Release adds National Director of Business Development to expand curation and licensing offerings direct-to-brands and in-house agencies
(Media Alert - July 28, 2020) Catch&Release hires its first National Director of Business Development, as the company expands into brand-direct partnerships. Megan Guzzo will be responsible for showing how easy it is for in-house creative teams to source and license on-brand Found content from anywhere on the internet, for use in high-impact, high-exposure campaigns.
Prior to joining Catch&Release, Guzzo led business development for interactive branded content at Shakr, a video versioning SaaS platform. She got her start in publishing, overseeing brands at Gotham, Hamptons and Los Angeles Confidential magazines; celebrity weeklies like InTouch, as well as GLAMOUR, and managing a sales team at Southern Living where she received several prestigious awards for breaking new business and increasing sales revenue. Eventually she oversaw several L'Oreal brands for Time Inc. businesses (InStyle, Sports Illustrated, RealSimple, People, etc.).
In her new role, Guzzo will work directly with brands across all verticals, to help them realize the intrinsic power of Found Footage (commonly referred to as user-generated content) for commercial campaigns. Guzzo’s hire represents a shift for Catch&Release, who has predominantly sold to creative agencies in the past. Now, brands can easily integrate the company’s creative licensing platform into their production workflow, expediting the typically manual, opaque process of clearance, licensing and payments. With Catch&Release, the world’s leading brands can find stunningly high-quality content from anywhere on the web, and license with confidence, at scale and on demand.
Welcome aboard Megan!
