Sales Development Representative (SDR)

Level: Individual Contributor
Location: San Francisco or New York
Reports to: Head of Sales

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) will play a critical role as Catch&Release continues to build its sales and marketing engine to support our fast-growing business. Your primary focus will be to drive outbound efforts to identify net new accounts, opportunities, and revenue from agencies and brands.  You will collaborate closely with marketing to support campaigns, manage the inbound marketing lead flow, qualify buying interest, and cultivate opportunity in target accounts. You will also closely support the sales teams in prospecting activities for priority accounts to secure a sufficient flow of additional qualified opportunities. The SDR very often has the initial (and therefore most important) opportunity to make an impression on a prospect, so you will be responsible for ensuring a positive experience that will set the stage for effective sales follow-up. Driving excitement, creativity, and relationship-building into every customer call is crucial. A successful candidate will be a self-starter, with a high-energy, positive phone presence, along with a track record of effective, credible lead follow-up and sales development at multiple levels within an organization. The position’s territory will be the US market.

What You’ll Work On
  • Research accounts, identify key players, understand need, generate interest and enable effective follow up
  • Perform outbound sales activities within a specified territory such as cold calling, lead follow-up, opportunity qualifications and meeting set-up
  • Articulate the Catch&Release business value proposition to decision makers at top brand advertisers and agencies
  • Manage inbound sales requests via phone, email and social media (ie: LinkedIn Sales Navigator)
  • Disseminate opportunities to the sales team, educating the sales person as necessary about the opportunity
  • Track and Forecast all sales activities using Salesforce.com
  • Meet or exceed activity metrics for outbound calls, confirmed meetings, opportunities added and prospecting time
  • Build relationships and effectively communicate with sales team and external partner organizations to positively influence direction
  • Proactively look for opportunities to improve, optimize end-to-end lead management and other sales and marketing processes
  • Manage expiring licenses and assemble reports for sales team to deliver

Who You Are
  • An inside sales person with 1+ years prior experience (within a SaaS company is a plus)
  • Fearless – willing to take intelligent risks
  • Successful working in a time-sensitive, deadline-driven, and high-volume environment
  • Adaptable in working in a dynamic, fast-paced start up team environment
  • Articulate with good business acumen
  • Fluent in Salesforce.com
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • “Can do” attitude
  • Understanding of entrepreneurial organizations
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and work in a start-up environment
  • B.A or B.S degree
  • You live within a commutable distance to our office in SOMA, San Francisco or Chelsea, New York
