You only pay when you want to license content. You’ll see the full cost breakdown before making a purchase.

When do you pay?

There are two steps to licensing content: Clearance and Licensing.

Clearance

$0–$250 per shot

We handle all the behind-the-scenes work to obtain legal permissions from everyone involved in the shot. One shot can be up to 30 seconds long.

$0 for content from our Creator Marketplace — clearance is always free

$250 per shot for content found elsewhere (e.g., from the internet or partners)

Once this step is complete, you’ll know the final license price but you’re under no obligation to purchase the license. No surprises. No pressure.

Licensing

price varies

Once all permissions are secured, you’ll get a final license price based on:

Usage & Terms: Specify where the content will appear (TV, digital, paid social, etc.) and for how long (3 months, 6 months, 1 year, etc.)

Rightsholders: the number of people or properties involved

Creator’s valuation: the price the rightsholders set (with our guidance)

You only pay for what you need: Once you’ve made your final decisions on what you’re using in your project, purchase the licenses for those shots.
